Connect the light bar’s negative (black) wire to the negative terminal of your battery or a suitable grounding point on the car’s chassis. To control the LED light bar, install a switch by connecting one end of a wire to the positive wire of the light bar and the other end to the switch.
Connect the red (positive) wire from the harness to the battery’s positive terminal. Connect the black (negative or ground) wire from the harness to the battery’s negative terminal. To control the LED light bar, install a switch by connecting one end of a wire to the positive wire of the light bar and the other end to the switch. After ensuring all connections are secure, reconnect the car’s battery and test the LED light bar for proper functionality.
Mount the lightbar to the mounting brackets. Secure it without overtightening. Connect the Lightbar wires as follows: Connect the lightbar’s red (positive) wire to the old light’s red or power wire. Connect the lightbar’s black (negative or ground) wire to the old light’s ground wire.
Start by running the wires from the light bar to the relay switch. Connect the red wire from the light to the red wire on the switch and the black wire from the light to the black wire on the switch. For these connections, it is recommended that you either solder the wires together or connect them using heat shrink butt-connecters.
However, in most cases, the positive wire from the relay will connect to a power source with an appropriate fuse. Using another suitable size wire, connect one end to the remaining terminal on the relay and the other to your desired location for the switch. This will allow you to control when your LED light bar is turned on or off.
