When designing a solar energy accumulator, the characteristic criteria of their practical performance are the following: the selection of heat accumulating medium of an accumulator, the necessary volume of this heat accumulating operating medium, thermostat dimensions, and the amount of heat loss from an accumulator to environment.
The present work was performed to analyze the effects of accumulation of such dirt or particle son the output performances of solar panel. Experiments using different obstruction materials were conducted under controlled conditions using spotlights to simulate source of solar radiation.
A comparative study of total seven dust samples has been carried out at three radiation levels of 650, 750 and 850 W/m 2 with different dust samples weights. Due to accumulation of dust particles on the surface of solar PV systems, and output power is reduced to a large extent.
However, the accumulation and aggregation of dust and its variants can reduce its optimal power generation performance. According to Anon (0000c), accumulated dust and dirt on solar panels can result in energy losses of up to 7% annually in parts of the North America, Latin American and Carribean.
Heat accumulation in various energy systems is primarily geared to heating and hot water supply. The application of heat accumulators in the solar power economy enables to solve this issue preconditioned by diurnal periodicity and unstable supply of solar energy and also to tackle a problem of continuity of heating energy supply.
These dust accumulation patterns will eventually affect the solar irradiance and also inhibits the light transmission to the solar cell thereby leaving an impact on overall power output (Maghami et al., 2016, Caron and Littmann, 2013a, Ghazi and Sayigh, 2014, Shao et al., 2013, Aljdaeh et al., 2021).
