This is a 5 kg stored pressure type ABC fire extinguisher. Its specifications, as per the IS : 940 design standard, include a guaranteed performance capacity and a maximum effective range when tested in still air of M 7 – 9 m. The continuous jet shall be maintained for a minimum period of S 75 seconds and the extinguisher can discharge 95% of its charge within this period.
While a BS EN3 certificate specifically for portable fire extinguishers addressing lithium-ion battery fires is yet to be established, we stand at the forefront of innovation in this field.
